Revision of CATW 1

Allowing U.S students to go to school from pre-k till 12th grade for free and then charging them it's unjust,  but allowing illegal citizens to pay less than a student that came to the country legal is just wrong. The Illinois House recently passed a bill that allows illegal citizens in the U.S. to pay the same amount that legal citizens do. I don't believe this is fair because illegal citizens don't pay taxes and they didn't come to the country the right way, and a legal citizen who obeys the law should not be charged more.

The tuition rate for an U.S. citizen that is out of the state and wants to attent college in Illinois is 13,906 and the tuition rate for a illegal citizen in Illinois is $5,302. Pablo and Maria both want to go to college in the U.S. Pablo is in the U.S. Illegaly and Maria is both a U.S. citizen and resident. Pablo only pays 5,302 for his tuition in the school while Maria who is out-of-state has to pay 13,906. Maria shouldn't have to pay a tuition that high because she always payed her taxes, she's never disturbed anyone and is a good person. So why does pablo get to pay less than her, when he isn't even an U.S. resident and doesn't pay taxes.

There are many students in the U.S. who pay cheat tuition for some colleges, even though they are not U.S. citizens. The Illegal students still get tuition benefits just like every other student who's parents pay taxes and have been citizen of the U.S. for a very long time. Rosio who is an U.S. immigrant living in Illinois didn't even need to try and become a citizen to attent college there because she still payed less money that Justin who was coming from Texas. I don't think any student should be deprived from their education, I believe everyone deserves a chance to learn and persue their career, but I don't believe that U.S. immigrants should be allow in to college, and worse, but allow to pay the same amount as a resident of Illinois.

I believe that the bill that was passed down should be removed because U.S. Immigrants break the law by entering the wrong way, should not be allow the same treatment as a U.S. citizen.

  2. you used more examples than you did in your practice essay wich is good. the first essay wasnt really in your own words so its good to see in the revission you put more of your own words into it.you also explained yourself more clear in the revission than you did in the practice but words are still spelled wrong. your intro was great so next time your make sure your conculision is as strong as your into. also your examples were not beliveable you are going to want to add more detail.
