CATW Practice 2

There are thousands of people that get sick everyday. They depend on public hospitals to threat them and make them feel better. Most of the time the hospital is packed with so many people that have no money, documents or health care, have to wait to get treated. Since the early 1960's hospitals started to pick people  with money over the people undocumented and the poor ones, when large mental institutions began to close. I believe that more public hospitals should open and threat everyone equally, we don't want another incident like what happened to Esmin Green in "The women who died in the waiting room" by Jeneen Interlandi.
Daisy is an immigrant in the united states, she has no documents or heath insurance whatsoever. Daisy's daughter Angelique had an asthma attack and daisy immediately rushed her to the hospital. The hospital was packed with people and none of the doctors payed any attention to Angelique because she was uninsured. All Angelique needed was an asthma pump but they denied her that because she didn't have any health insurance and her mom couldn't pay for it. Eventually Angelique died in the waiting room because of the ignorance and neglect of the hospital.
A bum was found in the streets of New York, half dead. The bum was beaten by a bunch of teenagers that were just looking for trouble. The bum was found laying on the floor covered in blood by a women that was passing by, she immediately called  911 and the ambulance rushed to his aid. When they got to the hospital the bum was put on hold because he was poor and had no way of paying the hospital for making him better. The bum bled in a chair in the waiting room but no one seemed to care about him, eventually the bum died in the waiting room  , waiting to be treated.
This should be allowed to go on any further. What happened to our human rights? should we not receive proper care just because we don't any way of paying it back. Since when did health care become something that you should pay for, it should be free. No one should be denied the right to see a doctor if they are ill.

Revision of CATW 1

Allowing U.S students to go to school from pre-k till 12th grade for free and then charging them it's unjust,  but allowing illegal citizens to pay less than a student that came to the country legal is just wrong. The Illinois House recently passed a bill that allows illegal citizens in the U.S. to pay the same amount that legal citizens do. I don't believe this is fair because illegal citizens don't pay taxes and they didn't come to the country the right way, and a legal citizen who obeys the law should not be charged more.

The tuition rate for an U.S. citizen that is out of the state and wants to attent college in Illinois is 13,906 and the tuition rate for a illegal citizen in Illinois is $5,302. Pablo and Maria both want to go to college in the U.S. Pablo is in the U.S. Illegaly and Maria is both a U.S. citizen and resident. Pablo only pays 5,302 for his tuition in the school while Maria who is out-of-state has to pay 13,906. Maria shouldn't have to pay a tuition that high because she always payed her taxes, she's never disturbed anyone and is a good person. So why does pablo get to pay less than her, when he isn't even an U.S. resident and doesn't pay taxes.

There are many students in the U.S. who pay cheat tuition for some colleges, even though they are not U.S. citizens. The Illegal students still get tuition benefits just like every other student who's parents pay taxes and have been citizen of the U.S. for a very long time. Rosio who is an U.S. immigrant living in Illinois didn't even need to try and become a citizen to attent college there because she still payed less money that Justin who was coming from Texas. I don't think any student should be deprived from their education, I believe everyone deserves a chance to learn and persue their career, but I don't believe that U.S. immigrants should be allow in to college, and worse, but allow to pay the same amount as a resident of Illinois.

I believe that the bill that was passed down should be removed because U.S. Immigrants break the law by entering the wrong way, should not be allow the same treatment as a U.S. citizen.

Blog 4: CATW Practice 1

Allowing young people that are illegal in the u.s. the right to pay in-state tution in illionois colleges and universities. In "An Education citizenship" By chicago tribune it says that the illinois house recently passed a bill that allows non- U.S. citizens to pay for in-state tuition in illioois colleges and universities. I don't agree with "Will we chanrge legal from other states more tuition than we charge the non-citizen citizens"
Freshman at the university of illinois in Urbana-Champaign the difference is between $5,302 the amount instate tuition and the 13,906 out-of-state rate. It's not fair that the immigrants get to pay less than a U.S. citizen that wants to go to college in Illinois.
Another student from another state might not want to come to illinois to study because is not fair that they have to pay more.
The practice is troubling because it dreprives citizens -of the nation and states- of what they have a reasonable right to expect. Many U.S. citizens expect the same rights and respect as the next person, but now that  the bill has been passed down, they will be upset to find out that they dont get the same right as every other person there.
The bill that Illions house recently passes that states " That Young people that are in the U.S. Illegally are allow to pay the istate tuition rate in Illinois", It's not fair for every other citizen out there that wants to join a college/university in Illinous.
